MINISTRY OF UPCYCLING

FROM WORKWEAR TO WEARABLE ART

Several stacks of clothing in various colors, including red, green, gray, and white, are neatly bundled and tied together with red strings. The clothing items are arranged in a room with a gray floor and a white background. Additional clothing items and a gray cabinet can be seen in the background.

The fashion industry produces ever faster – and discards ever faster. MINISTRY OF UPCYCLING steps in exactly here and reverses the cycle. The Berlin-based project transforms discarded workwear into limited-edition design pieces and consciously positions itself as an alternative to the linear fashion system.

In spring 2021, the first collection was released:
Upcycled sweatshirts made from former workwear. Cotton sweatshirts previously worn in industrial and trade businesses are given a second life. Each piece is collected in Berlin, reconditioned, and reinterpreted with large-scale prints. The edition is limited – every piece is a one-off.

The collection follows a simple, radical principle:
Re:Cycle – Re:Design – Re:Frame.

Circular economy par excellence

Ministry of Upcycling product life cycle

From waste to wonder, Re&Up gives discarded goods a new voice: as storied pieces and symbols of conviction within a visionary circular system.
