Cotton workwear in industrial and craft businesses is usually only worn for a limited period of time. After that, many of these garments are discarded and disposed of - even though they still possess material, substance, and history. This is exactly where Re&Up comes in: with the idea of seeing what already exists not as an end, but as the beginning of something new.

Instead of being thrown away, the discarded workwear is handed over to MINISTRY OF UPCYCLING. There, the sweatshirts are taken over after being cleaned, carefully inspected, sorted by size and color, and reprinted. In this way, functional garments are transformed into new pieces that don't hide their origins, but rather translate them into a new form. Every item carries traces of its past, and it is precisely this that makes it something unique.

The illustrations and artworks finding new life on these sweatshirts were exclusively curated from artist archives for MINISTRY OF UPCYCLING. Through this collaboration, Re&Up fuses reclaimed materials with artistic expression, crafting pieces that transcend traditional apparel. Former workwear is reborn as wearable art—imbued with conviction, character, and profound cultural soul.

Re&Up stands for a more conscious approach to resources and the conviction that value doesn't always need to be newly produced, but is often already there. It’s about keeping materials in circulation, rediscovering their quality, and giving them a second life through design, care, and perspective. In this way, something discarded becomes not just something new, but something meaningful.

And even if you eventually decide you no longer want to wear your piece and don't want to pass it on to friends, its story isn't over. The prints on Re&Up sweatshirts can be framed and preserved as artwork. Clothing becomes a memory, and a worn garment becomes a picture with a past.

Shoot us some photos of it! We absolutely love gathering Re&Up art pieces.
